23 Executive Orders on Gun Control

The President has signed his Executive Orders.  I am going to take a look at each one daily and discuss them. Although I believe he has overstepped his authority, I will look at each one.

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.

Well this is interesting. At first reading it sounds good. But lets look at it deeper.  Requiring federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background system should already be in place. Is he suggesting that federal agencies do not communicate with each other?  If agencies aren’t making data available to the federal background check now, then how are they getting information to approve checks now?

The fededal government already has a bad reputation but to put it in an executive order to communicate, I believe shows a sincere lack of integrity on the White House. The White House has constantly held a level of separation from the agencies it is supposed to be overseeing. So why start now?

Executive order #1 is a waste of time and energy because it should already be happening.

I will look at #2 tomorrow. Stay tuned.
